Here are all activities that are ongoing...

31 JANUARY 2023 - TUESDAY/ SELASA -  1 FEBRUARY 2023 - WEDNESDAY/ RABU

Language Festival Open Booth Registration

31 JANUARY 2023 - MONDAY/ ISNIN

SING IT IN ENGLISH

  1. Is a competition where participants are required to translate a song in any language into English and perform at the foyer in KPTM Bangi on Tuesday, 31st January.

  2. Participants are required to mention their name, course, number as well as the song they’d like to sing. Participants have to mention what is the original language of the song they would like to sing.

  3. On Tuesday, 31st January 2023, at 9am-12pm for students and 2pm-4pm for staff, participants will have to perform their chosen songs and each performance will be judged by a panel of judges. Points will be rewarded based on the jury's decision.

  4. Last registration is on Monday, 30 January 2023 at 11 pm. 

  5. Those who would like to participate are required to pre-register at 

Breaking News

  1. You can do it in BM or EN Version!

  2. Those who would like to participate may come to the mic stand area around 2pm-4pm

  3. Participants are allowed to choose from 5 prompts or their own prompts and are required to act out these news scripts on mic.

  4. Participants will be awarded 50 points for participating!

1 FEBRUARY 2023 - WEDNESDAY/ RABU

Open Voice Acting

  1. Open Voice Acting will be on Wednesday and Thursday, 1st and 2nd February 2023.

  2. Is an activity that will be open to anybody who would like to participate. The venue will be at the mic stand located at the foyer next to the café.

  3. There will be a set of scripts in English, Malay and Japanese for participants to choose from. Participants will then have to voice out these scripts using the mic provided by LGF Staff. Points will be rewarded based on how participants voice act in these scripts. There are several criteria, Emotion, Voice, Tone and Pronunciation.

Running Man

  1. Open to all students from all program.

  2. Those who would like to participate are required to pre-register at 

31 JANUARY (MONDAY/ ISNIN) - 2 FEBRUARY 2023 (THURSDAY/ KHAMIS)

Grammarite 

  1. Grammarite will be held throughout the entire of the festival from 31st January until 2nd February

  2. Those who would like 112to participate may visit the corresponding booth.

  3. Participants will be provided with a sheet of paper containing a paragraph written in English. These paragraphs will contain grammar errors and participants are required to spot these mistakes and correct them. There will be 10 errors per paragraph.

  4. Spotting mistakes will earn participants 5 points.

  5. Correcting mistakes will earn participants 5 points.

  6. Doing both will earn participants 10 points in total.

  7. After completing or deciding to give up, participants are then asked to give their sheet of paper to the LGF Staff in order to count up the points for the participants.

  8. If participants are able to solve all and correct these errors, they will earn 100 points in total.

Wordle

  1. Wordle will be held throughout the entire of the festival from 31st January until 2nd February

  2. Those who would like to participate may visit the corresponding booth.

  3. Participants will be provided with a set of letters and are required to create 10 words out of these letters. Each word will earn participants 10 points. Participants will be able to earn 100 points in total.

  4. Bonus Round :​

    • Participants can use 5 out of the 10 words found in order to create a sentence earning them 10 points per sentence. 50 points can be earned in total. Sentences are only accepted provided that correct grammar was used.

  5. Participants are then asked to give their sheet of paper to the LGF Staff in order to count up the points for the participants

Word Hunt

  1. Word Hunt will be held throughout the entire of the festival from 31st January until 2nd February

  2. Those who would like to participate may visit ‘Bilik Meeting 3’

  3. Word hunt will be hosted at ‘Bilik Meeting 3’ located right next to Surau, L1/L2, and Cafe.

  4. The walls of the room will be posted with various papers (cutouts of newspapers and magazines, posters and more) 

  5. Participants are required to find words inside the room in less than , remember those words and write down those words on a whiteboard provided by LGF staff waiting outside of the room.

  6. Small words (letters less than 5) will earn participants 5 points

  7. Big words (letters more than 5) will earn participants 10 points.

  8. There are no limits as to how many words participants can find within the stipulated time.

Scrabble

  1. Scrabble will be held throughout the entire of the festival from 31st January until 2nd February.

  2. Those who would like to participate may visit the scrabble area which will be at Al-Ghazali Library.        

  3. Every game will have 4 participants. Each game will last 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, LGF AJK will be counting up the points of every participant.

  4. Participants are required to write down the words they’ve dealt or played on the board on a piece of paper provided by LGF AJK.
